Hey so it's been a while, since I wrote one of these. So my comic is really coming along, but I'm gonna take a short break, to finish up the Super Mario  Final Fantasy Smash Battle. I'm really trying to do more with it design wise, and it's a good chance that I will doing previous pics over I did in the series because I think I can do a better job on them. These by far were some of the most fun I had drawing a series. There are lot more l ladies to choose from on the final fantasy street fighter side than the super Mario smash bros side so I really need to use my imagination for this one. So hopefully you guys enjoy these, keep an eye out for them. Later people

What's up people, well as the title states yes this is my broken record rant on my comic making and my character design process. So I have been looking at a lot of people's galleries, and I've been amazed by the comic art I see. I've also looked at some muscular styles that were outstanding dealing with female characters. I got hyped on that so much that I went straight back to doing comics and altering my personal goals with my work which was developing my character designs.

In my personal opinion (for at least my art work) character designs is the most important thing you should have before drawing a comic. You can have a hundreds of comic pages done, but if you character designs are off or different in each comic page it brings down the quality of your work. For example, this year I revamped my character Ms. Thang, I was very happy with her at first, but when I started to draw her in the comic, and then I drew her to muscular she didn't look right to me. Now she always been a very toned, curvy, and a voluptuous character, but I lost sight of of my redesign of her. And then I got into my second comic and they started to look to cartoony. So now I'm back to the drawing board. I have to get these priorities for my art work right, if I ever want to get my comics the way I want them. And I have to be honest with myself, I like character design more than making comics, only because I loved the finished look of a character that you have put your all into.

And my "Battle Grounds" comic is a life long dream comic for me, that I knew in my heart of hearts I wasn't ready to do, even in Mini comic form. "Battle Grounds" is really my dumping ground for all the characters I've made over the years (not including my Fantasy comic characters) to come to life. Like Ms. Thang I created her in college, and  that was over 25 years ago (Daaaamn I'm old lol). And there are still characters I need to blow the cobb webs off of. Believe it or not I even have male characters (OMG) that I want to put out that I created so long ago. Im getting to age were I want to develop better quality of work than quantity of work. The comics don't mean as much to me as the characters do. Don't get it twisted I love to make these comics but characters aren't ready. So until that time comes no more comics (and I mean it this time lol). But what you guys and gals will see from me are high quality character designs and redesigns. Also more fan art and maybe even drawing other people's great characters in my style.

So I'm sorry if I've disappointed any one looking forward to the comics, and honestly don't know if I'm ever going to get back to them, but I want to be humble and fare to my work, and to the people who look at and support my art work. And as always my thanks goes out to all of you who have been here for me faving, commenting and just being good friends here at DA, you guys and gals are the BEST!!!! Enjoy what's coming and be blessed everybody.

Hey what's up. So I will be taking a summer break from my main comic "A WARRIORS TALE". And I've been getting back into some of my other characters from my "BATTLEGROUND COMIC". Its my Super Hero Sci-Fi comic, Im not gonna lie I feel like this comic is dream and miracle away from me really doing it. And as much I would love to do a full comic of it would be to time consuming. However a small mini comics that only are 3 to 4 pages long with limited backgrounds may do the trick. Im also going to do combos with other artist OC's, but Im not taking request right now but suggestions will be helpful. I started getting the ball rolling two recent pics of Ms. Thang and Red Ace. These are two major characters in the comic.

Now I'm not going to lie this comic has no structure and is very loose with the plot. Its just for me to keep the creative juices flowing and to start actually making attempts at comics and having fun. It will also get me ready to do my main comic after the summer is over. I'm giving my self till mid August to complete at least 3. And due to the lack of job employment lol, it just might be possible. Now I'm not making any promises because things and crapola happens all the time in my life. But there are a lot of blessings to, just keep your eye out folks! Hope everyone has a good summer!

Hey as some of you have seen I'm back, Its good to be back here posting and commenting with you guys. Its been almost about a year since I've been active here. Its been kind rough, me and my family had to  move out of a crappy apartment, we had a huge cable bill that we to pay for (hence the reason there was a no online at my home). And you know the other normal stuff Being a father raising great kids, trying to be a good husband to my even more AWESOME WIFE, and being a part time super hero crime fighter out night (lol just kidding). But believe me folks I'm very blessed thank God. I have been hard at work on the sidelines with fan art and my comic. I finally feel like I have some Quality characters that I can develop a comic behind.

However I am changing up some things with the characters and the story, nothing major though! I've decided to not keep a it just a Middleville sword and sorcery story. I will be adding other modern elements like Guns and Machines (Almost steam punk like). Joe Mad's  "Battle Chasers" and Nate Piekos' "Atland" were the biggest influences and inspirations for my comic. But the more I got into to it, the more I felt like I was just reinventing the wheel here and that's not what I'm trying to do. I want this comic to really be my own, I want the quality of this comic to be great, which means if it takes me even longer to get the first pages of it done then that's what ill do. I'm not going to go to far off the reservation, it will still be all about WARRIORS!!! I hope you guys and gals have been enjoying the character development sheets I've been posting, I got a lot more to do. And thanks for all the support and views you all have been giving my stuff, its much appreciated!!!

Got more coming ya'll trust me lol! PEACE OUT CUBSCOUTS!!!!

Hey folks whats up. So first I must apologise for the last Journal entry I made. I said I would draw a comic and really wanted to. But sometimes  you have to know your limitations and be honest with yourself. I need to work on a lot of things before  I really develpe a comic even if its a mini one. Sure I can do a series of pics that tell a story but that's much different than a real comic. I got so hyped up seeing other great artist's comics and their attention to details and characters really made wanna do my own. So I tried it and immediately filed it under "T" for TRASH LOL! Whats funny I used to get like this with Joe Mad artwork. I was a huge fan (still am tbh), and I had to get every comic he put out every drawing that was posted of his I tried to download. And I just wanted my art to be like his. But a great and wonderful person (my wife) told me that I had to draw for myself not to be like or be better than anyone else. And I guess I forgot about that at some level. This summer I started to work on character design and details and that's what im gonna do.

So sorry about not doing the comic, but I will be doing the request that people asked me for, MOTU characters, Some super hero fan art and maybe finish off a funny series I started a while ago. Hey I'd rather create and post something I'm a 100% confident about, than to put up something just to say I did it. Much respect to every web comic and comic creator out there. You guys and gals are doing your thing, more Power to ya.  LATER!!!
